In the world of high-end motorcycles, the word Bespoke is everywhere. At FCR Original, it has a precise meaning: a motorcycle designed from A to Z in our workshop in Chauvigny, built as a one-off and never reproduced. One bike. One owner. One story.
Whether it is a Triumph Bonneville T120, a T100 or a Speed Twin, the goal remains the same: turning a new base into a coherent, personal and fully usable machine. Here is how we approach it, through our first build, the Triumph Bespoke #1.
What is a Bespoke project at FCR Original?
A Bespoke project is a complete, one-of-a-kind build, thought through down to the smallest detail, combining design, engineering and real-world use. It is neither an accessory pack nor a simple paint job: it is an entire motorcycle rethought around an artistic direction, then built by hand in our workshop.
Every build rests on four pillars:
- a strong, confident artistic direction, giving the bike an instantly recognisable identity;
- overall coherence between every part, from the main lines to the smallest brackets;
- seamless integration of technical components, so that nothing breaks the line;
- a motorcycle designed to be ridden, not just to be displayed.
Our goal is not to transform for the sake of it. We want to create a motorcycle that makes sense, both visually and mechanically.

Bespoke or customisation: what is the difference?
Customisation starts from an existing motorcycle and adds parts to it. A Bespoke project starts from a blank sheet and designs an entire motorcycle around an idea. The difference comes down to one sentence we often repeat in the workshop: a custom motorcycle is not a product you configure, it is a work you shape.
- Customisation: parts chosen from a catalogue, fitted to a base that keeps its original identity. It is the right approach to upgrade your bike step by step.
- Bespoke: a complete design, with parts drawn or reworked for the project and finishes defined one by one. The motorcycle changes identity, and will only ever exist as a single unit.
Our rule is simple: 1 bike, 1 rider. And there is no second chance: every part has to be right the first time.
How is a Bespoke project born?
A Bespoke project is born either from a precise customer brief or directly from the workshop’s own vision. The Triumph Bespoke #1 belongs to the second category: we imagined it freely, without any external specifications, then built it to be sold once finished.
In this context, we allow ourselves complete freedom: exploring new lines, testing combinations of materials, pushing the limits of design. But this freedom has a safeguard. Every choice must meet three requirements:
- a strong, recognisable design;
- smooth everyday usability;
- a high level of reliability and comfort.
It is this balance that allows us to create motorcycles that are both radical and fully usable.

Which Triumph models can be used for a Bespoke project?
An FCR Original Bespoke project is built on Triumph Modern Classic models. These bikes share a similar architecture, based around the Bonneville parallel twin, which opens up a very wide scope for customisation.
The bases we work with:
- Triumph Bonneville T120
- Triumph Bonneville T100
- Triumph Speed Twin 900
- Triumph Speed Twin 1200
- Triumph Street Twin 900
Each motorcycle has its own specific features, but the transformation possibilities remain comparable: chassis work, changes to the riding position, creation of a unique visual identity, improved running gear and high-end finishes.
In every case, we start from a brand-new, strictly original motorcycle, which we supply. It guarantees a sound base with no unknown history, on which every intervention is fully controlled.

Which parts are modified in a Bespoke build?
A Bespoke build reworks the entire motorcycle: frame, riding position, running gear, styling, engine, exhaust and finishing details. The aim is to transform the base in depth while maintaining perfect technical coherence.
- The frame: modified rear loop, adjusted proportions and sometimes a specific frame treatment (nickel plating, paint, custom finishes).
- The riding position: handlebars, controls and ergonomics chosen according to the rider’s use and body type.
- The running gear: suspension, wheels, tyres and road-holding components, to improve on-road behaviour.
- The overall styling: tank, bodywork, paint and combinations of materials.
- The engine and its ancillaries: mostly visual work, with finishes, surface treatments and specific parts.
- The exhaust: usually replaced by an FCR Original system, for both the sound and the line.
- The finishing details: machined parts, polished components, grilles and brackets developed for the project.
On the Triumph Bespoke #1, this means more than thirty interventions, spread across nine areas.

Why do details make the difference on a custom motorcycle?
What sets a Bespoke motorcycle apart is not just its silhouette: it is the build-up of well-judged details. A polished bracket, an engraved logo, a carefully chosen fuel cap. On their own, they go unnoticed. Together, they create a motorcycle unlike any other.
At FCR Original, this means:
- parts machined specifically for each project;
- custom painted, polished, brushed or chrome finishes;
- a precise selection of materials and textures;
- invisible integration of technical components.
On the Bespoke #1, the chrome tank is finished in satin khaki paint, with chrome stripes and our logo engraved in the metal. The side covers pick up the same khaki. Polished, brushed and chrome parts echo one another without ever clashing.

Can a Bespoke motorcycle be ridden every day?
Yes. An FCR Original Bespoke project is always designed for real-world use, with a level of comfort, reliability and road behaviour that meets modern expectations. That is what sets it apart from radical builds made for motorcycle shows.
In practice:
- the ergonomics are carefully studied for a balanced riding position;
- seat height and riding position are adapted to the rider’s height, weight and use;
- components are reliable and proven, and safety-related parts (lighting, braking, mirrors) are CE-approved;
- every build comes with a two-year warranty and follow-up from the workshop.
The result is a one-of-a-kind motorcycle that never feels restrictive.

How do you start your own Bespoke project?
It all starts with a conversation. You tell us about how you ride, what you want and what inspires you. We propose a direction and a suitable Triumph base, then design and build the motorcycle in our workshop in Chauvigny, where we have been building motorcycles since 2012.
The steps of a project:
- The conversation: how you ride, your body type, the visual world that speaks to you.
- The design: artistic direction, choice of materials, finishes and parts.
- The base: a brand-new Triumph Modern Classic, supplied by FCR Original.
- The build: a complete build in the workshop, part by part.
- The delivery: a motorcycle ready to ride, with a two-year warranty and workshop follow-up.
Lease financing (LOA) can also be considered.

Can you take inspiration from Bespoke without a full build?
Yes. Several parts featured on our builds are available on FCR Accessoires, our online shop, so you can upgrade your Triumph Modern Classic step by step:
- the FCR Original exhaust system for Triumph Modern Classics;
- the Triumph Modern Classic engine guard;
- the Shield radiator grille.
It is a great way to give your motorcycle a share of the FCR Original DNA, before perhaps taking the step towards a full project.
An FCR Original signature
Every Bespoke project carries a recognisable signature, without ever repeating itself. This balance between a strong identity and a bike tailored to each rider is what defines the FCR Original DNA.
A Bespoke motorcycle is not just a transformation. It is a vision: a way of pushing standards further while respecting the very essence of the machine.

Frequently asked questions
Everything about the Bespoke project
01 What is a Bespoke motorcycle?
A Bespoke motorcycle is a bike designed to measure and built as a one-off. At FCR Original, it is entirely reworked in our workshop in Chauvigny: frame, riding position, running gear, styling, exhaust and finishing details.
It is never reproduced: 1 bike, 1 rider.
02 What is the difference between a Bespoke project and customisation?
Customisation adds catalogue parts to a motorcycle that keeps its original identity. A Bespoke project starts from a blank sheet and designs an entire motorcycle around an artistic direction, with parts and finishes defined for that project.
03 Which motorcycles does FCR Original use for Bespoke projects?
Triumph Modern Classics: Bonneville T120, Bonneville T100, Speed Twin 900, Speed Twin 1200 and Street Twin 900. These models share a similar architecture, ideal for an in-depth transformation.
04 Is the base motorcycle new?
Yes. Every project starts from a brand-new, strictly original motorcycle supplied by FCR Original. It guarantees a sound base, with no unknown history.
05 Can a Bespoke motorcycle be ridden every day?
Yes. Every project is designed to be ridden: carefully studied ergonomics, reliable and proven components, and CE-approved safety parts (lighting, braking, mirrors).
Every build comes with a two-year warranty and follow-up from the workshop.
06 Is the motorcycle adapted to my body type?
Yes. We take your height, weight and riding use into account from the design stage. Seat height and riding position are adjusted accordingly.
07 Can a Bespoke project be financed?
Yes. A lease financing offer (LOA) can be studied when you submit your project request.
